  3. If a minimum of 3 people are not confirmed, the workshop is subject to cancellation.

  1. “No-show/No calls” will result in cancellation of your registration for any other One-Stop workshops you are scheduled to attend.

Employment Details:
 6 month seasonal contract beginning in mid January
 Typical shift is 12 hours per day—6 days a week
 Alaska’s current minimum wage is $9.84 per hour and $14.76 overtime
 Transportation from Seattle provided
 Return transportation to Seattle after successful completion of contract
 Must pass pre-employment drug screen
 Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
 $15 per day room and board fee, when 8 or more hours are worked in a day
 Laundry services provided
 All personal protective gear provided

Sexual Harassment Prevention: Interactive Two-Hour Training (Two Sessions)

Two sessions to choose from. Each session will
• Current examples and dilemmas.
• Update on new laws and requirements regarding bullying, gender identity, gender expression, and social media.

This program will satisfy California training requirements for supervisors:
• The types of conduct that constitute sexual harassment.
• Remedies available for sexual harassment victims in civil actions and potential employer or individual liability.
• Strategies to prevent sexual harassment in the workplace.
• An explanation about the limited confidentiality of the complaint process.
• Practical examples that illustrate sexual harassment, discrimination, and retaliation.
• Resources for victims of harassment.
• The employer’s obligation to conduct an effective workplace investigation of a harassment complaint and take remedial measures to correct the adverse behavior.
• The supervisor’s obligation to report any complaints of sexual harassment, discrimination, and retaliation of which they are aware to a designated corporate representative (e.g. a human resource representative) so the matter may be resolved internally.
• What the supervisor should do if he or she is personally accused of harassment.
• The essential elements of an anti-harassment policy and how to use it if a complaint is filed.
